The blood love series was made in 1994 in response to being pregnant. Shapes and forms are vessel based but for the first time were also designed to be shown by hanging them as purely visual objects.

The pieces are hollow, formed from double walled sheets of clay and decorated with body, tissue colours with markings to suggests eggs, fertility and tubes forming life. The colours link back to the travel dreaming work and are applied as engobes using the paper resist technique with a black was applied at the biscuit stage.
