The my house series of work was made whilst reflecting on an imminent possibility of leaving London, the local community and friends to live in Australia. Family ties were to dictate leaving familiar surroundings of home. The work was made as psychological preparation for starting a new life in another country.

The pieces were slab built and painted with engobes using a paper resist technique. The edges of the painted engobe areas were picked up with a black stain at the biscuit fired stage.
